The Card Rack is one of Sigil’s unique features that really acts as a game changer! It’s very frustrating depending on that singular, perfect card draw that will get you out of a sticky situation, right? We’ve all topdecked the exact thing we’ve needed once or twice in our lives, but the reason that is so memorable is because it almost never happens.
But that’s where the Card Rack comes in!
To place a card in the Card Rack, you must pay its mana cost. This does not count as playing the card, so any effects that take place upon play (such as Burn effects) do not trigger.
Once a card is in the rack, it is inaccessible for the rest of the turn in which it was placed there.
But from the next turn onward, not only is it playable, but it’s free.
Well, ok, not free, I guess since you already paid for it, but the point is that you don’t have to pay for it again, and that means that you can stack up some really amazing combos or keep an ace in the hole for just the right moment, as you can use up your mana playing the cards in your hand and still continue to play any and every card in your Card Rack if the mood suits you.
There are also some great Relics and cards and even Champions that benefit from Card Rack usage, so keep an eye out and discover them as you play!
