Sigil Of Chaos changes
We’ve been working on the game for quite a while now and at some point we had to admit a painful truth:
it just wasn’t fun enough to show you yet.
On top of that, we realised that fixing it properly wasn’t “a few tweaks here and there”, but a huge chunk of work that touches almost everything in the game:
Reworking all in-game graphics into pixel art
Creating city hubs where you can rest between runs, pick up quests and breathe a little
Completely redesigning the UI and UX
Preparing localization so you can play in your own language
A very reasonable reaction would’ve been:
“Let’s not do that.”
We, of course, chose the other option:
“Let’s absolutely do that and suffer a bit.” 😅
Where we are now
The work is still very much in progress, but here’s what’s already happening:
All in-game visuals are now using the new pixel art style, except spellbook (in progress)
3 out of 6 city hubs are implemented and playable
Localization is almost finished — soon you’ll be able to switch to your preferred language
We’re about to seriously tackle the new UI so it finally matches the rest of the game
We’re really sorry it’s taking this long, but once we saw what the game could feel like with these changes, it was impossible to go back to the old version.
Our goal with this rework is simple:
when you finally get to play it, it should feel like a proper, fun, complete game, not just “something that technically runs”.
Thanks a lot for your patience — it genuinely help us keep going. 💛
