addedAttention prospective employees! To boost morale, Midnight Mart has officially approved a new 'Bring Your Pet To Work' policy. I know it’s been a while since I showed anything new, and yeah, we've had a few delays. But I've been quietly working in the background adding a bunch of new stuff to the game since the demo. Over the coming weeks, I’m going to be putting out frequent updates to show off everything that has changed.
changedA gooseYour pet needs their medicine within your first 3 shifts. You have to hustle, manage the store, and make enough personal profit to pay for it while surviving the night.
changedA gooseIf you pull it off and keep your profit margins high, you get the best perk in the game: you can bring your pet with you on your shifts!
changedA gooseThey will wander around the store, keep you company during the quiet hours, and actually help out by cleaning up some of the mess left by customers (or their bodies). This gives you way more time to focus on stocking shelves, working the register, and interrogating the completely normal, definitely human customers.
addedA gooseI'll be back soon with another update. We have a lot of new mechanics to go over.

First up: Pets!
I wanted to give you a real reason to take a sketchy night shift job where the customers might actually be monsters. So now, before you even start your first shift, you adopt a pet. You get to choose between four:
A cat
A husky
A puppy
A goose
But your buddy gets a bit sick & the vet bills are expensive, which means you have to take a job at the local Midnight Mart to pay for their medicine.
