Thank you to all players for your continuous attention and playtest feedback on ShanWen.
Based on your real experience and suggestions after trying the Demo, we have optimized and upgraded the control scheme and beginner guidance, aiming to deliver a smoother and more immersive exploration experience in Linshan Town.
Detailed update contents are as follows:
1.Added keyboard movement controls for better accessibility
Previously, only click-to-move was supported, which many players found restrictive. This update introduces brand-new keyboard controls:
Use the A/D keys to move left and right, and press Shift to sprint.
Keyboard controls offer greater freedom and flexibility, allowing you to control your movement pace and exploration speed freely. It adapts perfectly to slow, careful scene searching as well as fast movement in tense moments. Explore the eerie and oppressive Linshan Town immersively at your own pace.
2.Expanded in-scene guidance to lower entry barriers
Many new players reported confusion over interactions and unclear next-step instructions in the early game.
We have added comprehensive contextual prompts, detailed interaction hints, process guidance and operation tutorials, enabling more players to smoothly experience the full story and puzzle content.
Every optimization is made to build a more complete and intricate world for ShanWen.
We sincerely appreciate every player’s patience and valuable feedback. We will keep refining controls, visuals, atmosphere and story details to further enrich the eerie lore of Linshan Town. Stay tuned for future updates!
