Shadows on the Vatican - Act II: Wrath changes
Steam post image As promised, we're back with a substantial update on Act III, along with a brand-new piece of original artwork featuring the series' protagonists, by the artist Fabiana Fiengo.
Let's be honest: as you can probably imagine given the development timeline, this has been the most challenging project we've ever worked on. The fact that we're still here, however, shows just how committed we are to seeing it through. We truly believe in the story of Silvia and James, and we can't wait to share the incredible things we have planned.
Here's the current status of development:
Writing and game design: 99%
Programming: 90%
Graphics: backgrounds 85%, character art 90%, animations 20%, motion comics 5%
Audio: 10%
The biggest challenge at the moment is the cutscenes / motion comics, which play a major role in Act III.
Since every panel is hand-crafted, meticulously detailed, and then animated, this is currently the most demanding stage of the project. We couldn't begin working on it until the rest of the visual assets were nearly complete, ensuring visual consistency and a cohesive artistic style throughout the game.
If all goes to plan, we'll be in touch again soon with more news.
We'd like to thank all of you for the support you've shown us over the years. It has meant more to us than we can express, giving us the motivation and energy to keep pushing forward and finish this huge, challenging, and beautiful project.
We promise we won't let you down.
