addedI've gotten in a lot of hard work over the last few months, and I'm excited to finally deliver the first portion of that undertaking to you. This update sets the record for the most new exhibits opened in a single release: four! As with the last opening, one of these exhibits was pre-announced, and the rest are surprises. Read more below...
addedIn addition, you now have more freedom than ever to explore the Mausoleum thanks to a new free camera mode. This allows you to view each gallery from any desired angle. Free camera mode is perfect both for curious types and for content creators that are interested in streaming, recording videos, and taking photographs inside SHADOWBOX. addedNew Content:New Exhibit: The Moenkopi Formation! This exhibit just barely missed the cut for the original set of released exhibits. addedNew Content:New Exhibit: The Thaynes Group! For the first time, you can now travel back and forth between terrestrial and marine deposits from the same place and time. The Thaynes Group is also 245 million years old, and inside you can see the carnivorous fish Birgeria which lived at the same time as those creatures buried in the Moenkopi Formation.
addedNew Content:New Exhibit: The Blue Lias! The youngest exhibit of the batch belongs to the Blue Lias, containing the beautiful ammonite shells of Androgynoceras and Liparoceras . These 200 million year old English fossils are now in display in the first SHADOWBOX exhibit to be released showcasing fossils from outside North America!

SHADOWBOX Windows Beta Update 1.4 Patch Notes

New Content:

-New Exhibit: The Kaibab Limestone! This gallery of Permian-aged fossils has two species of marine invertebrates, Dictyoclostus and Schizodus. This is the oldest exhibit of the batch, dating back to around 270 million years ago.

-New Exhibit: The Moenkopi Formation! This exhibit just barely missed the cut for the original set of released exhibits. At 245 million years old, it represents a very intriguing and little-known time of Earth's history: the early to middle Triassic. Here, you'll find Arizonasaurus, Isochirotherium, Eocyclotosaurus, and Pseudomonotis.

-New Exhibit: The Thaynes Group! For the first time, you can now travel back and forth between terrestrial and marine deposits from the same place and time. The Thaynes Group is also 245 million years old, and inside you can see the carnivorous fish Birgeria which lived at the same time as those creatures buried in the Moenkopi Formation.

-New Exhibit: The Blue Lias! The youngest exhibit of the batch belongs to the Blue Lias, containing the beautiful ammonite shells of Androgynoceras and Liparoceras. These 200 million year old English fossils are now in display in the first SHADOWBOX exhibit to be released showcasing fossils from outside North America!

-Paleogeographic Maps! I've finally added my initial drafts of paleogeographic maps to the lobby and to select exhibits. You can now see these maps integrated into the lobby mural as well as inside the Moreno Hill Formation, Blue Lias, Thaynes Group, Moenkopi Formation, Kaibab Limestone, and Martin Formation exhibits.

Enhanced Features:

-Free Camera Mode! You can now toggle between default first person mode and a gravity-free experience that allows you to fly around exhibits to your heart's content. You can toggle free camera mode with "C", by default, and when in this mode you can rise with "Q" and fall with "E".

Bug Fixes:

-Fixed a glitch in the examine item display that would open multiple tabs at the wrong time.
