SHADOWBOX: Mausoleum of Natural History changes
SHADOWBOX Windows Beta 1.15 patch notes:
New Content:
-Brand new exhibit! Real, False, & Phony Fossils has opened as a specialty gallery. Take a right upon entering the Mausoleum, just past the mastodon tooth display, and you'll find the teleporter! This exhibit showcases the differences between real fossils, natural objects that resemble fossils, and manmade objects that incorporate fossils but are not considered authentic. Can you tell the difference?
200+ fun facts have been added to the loading screen! Players can now learn new information about Earth's history even when waiting for a gallery to load.
-The Paleocene shark Palaeocarcharodon has been added to the Geological Eras Tour.
Enhanced Features:
-The user interface has been updated to be more legible and stylistically match lettering in the rest of the game. Snazzy!
-Texture streaming settings have been tweaked, which should lead to performance gains.
Bug Fixes:
-A crash on high-end systems when video memory is exceeded should be resolved.
Final Thoughts:
This is the third update to SHADOWBOX we've released since beta first launched last month. I'm very excited to add the first new exhibit of the beta, and I hope players enjoy learning a little bit about how to identify authentic fossils. Thank you to everyone who has downloaded and tested the Mausoleum so far; as of this month, we have players on every continent (except Antarctica!).
With this update out, work will begin on the next round of improvements, including a new exhibit! Thanks again for your continued interest and patience as SHADOWBOX development continues.
