Shadow Seven changes
[dynamiclink href="https://youtu.be/Khkvffp-ygM"]
After a long break in development, we’re back working on Shadow Seven.
If this sounds familiar — you’re not wrong. We’ve tried this before. This time, we’re doing it properly.
What went wrong
The main issue wasn’t content, but the foundation:
character movement didn’t feel right
gameplay flow was weak
the overall feel of the game wasn’t where it should be
These are not things you can fix by adding more content. If the foundation doesn’t work, nothing built on top of it will.
What we’re working on now
Right now, we’re going back to the core gameplay.
Focusing on:
movement and smoothness
input responsiveness
camera and readability
These aren’t flashy changes, but they have the biggest impact on how the game feels.
Reworking the demo
The goal is to bring the demo to a state where it better represents the game — especially in terms of controls, readability, and overall feel.
What’s next
Once the foundation is solid, we’ll start sharing more about:
the playable characters and their abilities
how they work together
and more about the world and story
Final note
We don’t want to push forward with content before the basics work.
Development continues.
More updates soon.
