SEVERANCE changes
Major Update - v0.5.0.0
This is one of the biggest updates to Severance so far, featuring a complete Ghost Behavior rework, new rebuild and improved Ghost AI, new equipment, major balance changes, difficulty improvements, bug fixes, and overall gameplay polish.

Ghost Behavior Rework
Ghost behaviors have been completely reworked and expanded. This is designed to make identifying ghosts more engaging, especially when combined with lower evidence difficulties.
New difficulty modes:
Beginner
Intermediate
Professional
Nightmare
Severed
Severed is the hardest mode and features 0 evidence. This works alongside the new ghost behavior system, giving players a new way to investigate and identify ghosts through testing behavior rather than relying only on evidence.

Balance Changes
New Ghost LOS speed system
Ghost Hunt speed now starts at 2.25m/s and increases over 12 seconds to 2.65m/s when the ghost has line of sight on a player (unless altered by ghost behavior)
The breaker now takes 3 seconds to turn on
Map size now affects sanity drain
Both Ghost AI and Ghost Player modes now have difficulty settings
Investigators now lose 10 sanity when another investigator dies

Complete AI rebuild to make it smarter and better

Difficulty changes include adjustments to:
Hunt grace period
Sanity grace period
Rewards
Sanity drain in darkness
Kill ending hunts
Breaker starting state
Ghost hunt arm time
Evidence amount
Sanity screen off
Sanity medicine amount
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that caused the greyed out placeable preview doll to knock other equipment over
Fixed an issue where the interact crosshair could be seen through walls
Fixed a bug that caused dead players to get blocked by equipment
Fixed a bug that caused the key to unlock quicker on some doors
Fixed a bug that caused a non-front door in Hospital to lock on hunt
Voice chat stability fixes
Fixed a bug that caused private lobbies to open after returning to lobby after a match
Fixed a bug that caused players to join lobbies mid-match and become stuck on the loading screen while hearing game sounds
Fixed a bug that caused equipment and characters to spawn in the lobby when joining a lobby that had already played multiple rounds
Fixed a bug that sometimes displayed the wrong region players were on
Lobby stability fixes
Fixed a bug that caused Laser Grid to activate even after it was picked up
Fixed a bug that caused the Flashlight to show 2 lights at once
Fixed a bug that caused the sliding doors in Prison to take longer to unlock
