Announcing onRails — the next chapter
If you're reading this, you've used one of our setup tools at some point — and we want you to be among the first to hear what's coming next. onRails — Setup Creation and Engineering Suite is the new flagship app from Monkey Face Software. It combines and replaces both VRCE and SDT into a single, redesigned app — rebuilt from the ground up around everything we've learned over the past 17 years.
What's New
Transparent overlay — onRails runs on top of your sim. No alt-tabbing, no second monitor required.
Two tools, one package — the Setup Developer builds your baseline setup from scratch, the Setup Engineer tunes it lap by lap.
In-Race Engineer — a new keyboard-only assistant that gives you setup recommendations while you're driving, answered with the numpad.
Direct sim integration — auto-detects your simulator and reads tire temps and lap times live from six supported sims.
Supported sims: Assetto Corsa, ACC, Automobilista 2, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, and rFactor 2.
Themes, languages, hotkeys — four F1-inspired accent themes, four languages with auto-detect, fully rebindable hotkeys (keyboard and wheel buttons).
Launching July 2026 on Steam
The single most useful thing you can do right now is wishlist onRails. Steam's algorithm rewards wishlists at launch, and every one helps onRails reach more sim racers on day one. Wishlist onRails on Steam You can also see the full first look on our website: www.virtualracecarengineer.com
A note to long-time users
Your existing app will continue to work — nothing changes there. But onRails is where every bit of future development is going. If you've been waiting for the next step, this is it. Thanks for sticking with us. See you on track. — Tim McArthur, Monkey Face Software
