Easier management

Starting with a big one, we have added two of the long-standing requests. The first is that you’ll now be able to sort workplace and population lists, making it much easier to keep track of your villagers. The second one is for you, our console players. You will be able to enjoy fast list navigation using the right stick, and we’ve added sensitivity sliders for better control.

The new auto-assign buttons allow you to quickly assign villagers and refugees to available homes and workplaces. We also added the home-building name to the villager details, so you always know where someone belongs.

Bringing Your Village to Life

We’ve expanded how characters interact with the world to make villages feel more alive and immersive.

Player characters now play animations while using crafting and production stations, and you can finally sit on decorative furniture. Villagers and your character will also have new voice-over touches like humming, whistling, sighing, and other small sounds that make daily life feel more natural.

We’ve also added a large number of new sound effects for crafting, gathering, and production stations, along with new animation variations for crafting.

New Exterior Materials

Customization is expanding with new exterior materials for your buildings. You’ll be able to use options like red-painted wooden planks, paper walls, and clay-and-wood mixes to give your village a more distinct look.

We’ve also added new exterior types, especially doors, including simple bamboo doors and solid wooden ones.

To give you more freedom in creating your own unique villages, we have removed restrictions on exterior styles. That means you can now use an exterior style on any building.

We hope you’re excited to shape your villages with these new improvements. And in case you missed our previous sneak peeks, you can read about them here and here.
