What changed
- UI and audio
- Fixes
- Balance
Fixed an issue where the base recommended settings wouldn't apply at first launch - If you launched the game before the first patch, make sure to select the "Recommended" graphic preset in the settings (especially if you're experiencing bad performance) - Fixed a bunch of issues with sound (some ambiance weren't playing, some sounds had weird attenuations) - Fixed an issue with cars in level 1 where their glass would disappear - Disabled hardware raytracing which could potentially cause the main lighting to fail (everything is black) Still not sure about if this is a fix but this seems to be an engine issue, I still have to investigate some more but I'm working on it since it's a big issue. It seems like it is a hardware-specific issue, maybe because of outdated drivers or incompatibilities but using only software raytracing should in theory do the trick, still have to test that. - Fixed a big issue with the save system where some items would disappear from your inventory upon level transition - Fixed an issue where returning to the main menu would cause a Travel error - Fixed an issue with the parking lot puzzle in "easy" difficulty where placing the 2 batteries would not open the door and trigger the blackout nonetheless - Fixed an issue in level 1 where a door would be locked during the blackout runback in peaceful mode - Fixed a softlock in the main menu - Fixed an issue where disabling lumen would cause every lamp to cast extremely intense light - Reduced running FOV change - Fixed an issue where a coin in level 3 couldn't be picked up - Fixed an issue where some item placement points wouldn't save correctly - Small fixes and improvements - Fixed an issue in Thresholds (level 2) where the house shape item wouldn't be removed from the inventory when inserted
There is more to come but I really have to take a break now, I'll come back tomorrow to deliver more patches. The game should be much more stable and polished in a few days, having your feedback speeds up the process a lot ^^ There are a few issues in the hotel I am aware of right now, they will be fixed tomorrow once i'm done fixing the camera shake settings that won't work correctly anymore (that headbob problem came up to be much more complicated than I thought lol it worked fine before but broke somehow) If you bought the game but are easily affected by motion sickness, thank you but I suggest you wait at least tomorrow until I can fix that.
Main fixes and addition coming for tomorrow :
Keybinding menu layout fix - New setting to disable post process effects related to health - Head-bobbing setting fix - Ability to choose which level you want to start from when starting a new game - Improvements on hotel's puzzles and fixes - Fixes for some interaction points bugs - Many more fixes and improvements
Thanks !
