Ahoy Captains!
Build 4133 is now up on Playtest. As always, players who join the playtest will have access to content in testing as well as previews of the latest content.
Bugfixes
Fix: Overworld fish doodads no longer push around the player.
- FixTalis questline medbay quest flags fixed.
Fix: Enemies that have negative evasion due to destroyed engines or masts will now display them in the top right evasion box.
Fix: Several small display errors in shops.
- FixFurniture graphical offsets for aux engine, aux shield, aux reactor, and aux targeting adjusted to right position
- FixMini Rockets T1 component costs re-added
Fix: Church destroyer shield graphics were misaligned with actual collider
Fix: Tutorial overlay for deploying officers is now offset correctly
Fix: Text size for dialog option now properly displays saved preference between session loads
Fix: Weapon and equipment crafting recipes now properly deduct any requisite equipment/weapons in their recipe from player inventory
Fix: Reactor equipment now displays how much weapons power is given when equipped.
Fix: Harvested resources from small islands saving errors when shutting down the game on a small island
- FixArmor that has been reduced to 0 and then is repaired to full HP will now properly protect the player again.
Fix: Talis recruitment first shop was able to start the quest before Seraph assigns the quest.
Fix: Equipment availability fixes for all 3 major shops in Colmeda region.
- FixSeraph questmarker was available for a scrapped questline post Talis recruitment.
Weather system enhancements
Weather system performance pass. Fog and cloudy weather should have less impact on computer performance overall.
Time of Day coloring of background sky, sea, and water should be consistent with actual time of day now even between scene loads.
Weather systems now make sounds when loaded, and sounds change as weather changes.
Overworld movement enhancement
Overworld movement systems have been overhauled for better performance and collision checking. The experience for sailing around will feel different in this patch versus the last patch.
Getting stuck in colliders will be far less likely in this patch versus the previous.
Boss fight adjustments
Lancet Derelict Frigate and Arc Frigate ships now have more HP (45 and 65 respectively)
Slight adjustments to the graphics of the ships. This does not affect gameplay.
Several overworld ships for boss fights have had colliders adjusted to better trigger their conversations.
Dante questline now properly advances after building the medbay in Talis' recruitment questline.
Three Hotshots questline now properly advances stages, and grants you the Tier 1 Seraph hull when complete. This also marks the end of the demo.
Weapon and equipment rebalancing
Mini rocket and Shield Battery crafting recipes are re-introduced, however these weapons are not functional. Feel free to craft them, however they are not usable.
Will be fully usable in future patches
Several weapons and equipment were missing crafting recipes or purchasable pre-requisites. These recipes have been added back.
Lookaheads
Following this patch, we will be spending time building the Ignacia Region, which will become available to players after they defeat Blackwing. As we move forward with Region 2, 3, and 4 content, We will eventually narrow the playtesting group to a smaller group of focused testers. Details on this will be announced later.
In May, we will be participating in Ocean Fest here on Steam, and in the weeks leading up to that festival, we will be merging the Playtest branch into the live demo to give the public a better first taste of what is to come. We're also working on a steam page
