Dev Blog 3: The End Game Begins!

First of all, a huge thank you to all of you! At the time of writing, 82 players have tried the Sea of Dreams Survivors demo, with over 400 games played —that means the world to us. Your support and feedback are incredibly valuable.

Today, let’s talk about what lies beyond the main campaign: the End Game.

Completing the Campaign

The main campaign takes around 2 hours to complete on normal difficulty—a perfect entry point to learn the game and its mechanics. But don’t stop there!

If you’re feeling confident, try higher difficulties. Not only will the challenge increase, but you’ll also earn more XP, unlock new rewards, and gain additional Upgrade Points to power up your survivor.

🛠️ Custom Game Mode

Once you complete the final level, you’ll unlock Custom Game mode.

"You've finished the game and unlocked Custom Game! You're now able to create your own settings and have fun for hundreds of hours."

In Custom Game, you can tailor the experience to your liking—whether you want an extreme challenge or something more experimental and fun. Here are the parameters you can tweak:

• Number of Weapons: Choose how many weapons your survivor can carry.

• Number of Perks: Control how many perks can be selected per run.

• Shield Capacity: Adjust your shield as a percentage of the default.

• Player Speed: Modify how fast your survivor moves.

• Auto-Select on Level Up: Toggle whether choices are made automatically when you level up.

• Endless Mode: Activate infinite waves for a true test of endurance.

• Endless Power Cycle: Set how your stats grow during each endless cycle.

This mode is perfect for theory-crafting builds, stress-testing loadouts, or just diving into pure chaos.

🔁 Reset Upgrades Anytime

Want to experiment with new builds? You can reset your upgrades at any time—even before finishing the campaign. But once you reach the End Game, this feature becomes even more valuable. Try bold combinations and discover the playstyle that suits you best.

🎖️ Ranks and Unlocks

Finishing the campaign on normal difficulty is just the beginning. To unlock the most powerful weapons and earn more Upgrade Points, you may need to grind a bit—or take on tougher difficulties. Each run contributes to your Rank, which in turn opens up new possibilities for progression and power.
