addedWHAT TO EXPECT?Almost all aspects of the game will receive at least some type of improvement or fix. Everything from base building tweaks, weapon fixes, admin command adjustments, graphical fixes, new server settings... you name it!
addedWHAT TO EXPECT?While a lot of cool new tweaks and improvements are coming, we acknowledge that we're missing some shiny new features that are the main source of excitement. Rest assured, we're working on those as well and we'll have one in a few months. In the meantime, we will be releasing smaller patches on a monthly basis such as the one we'll have next week.
changedWIPEWe are also announcing that along with the patch, we will also conduct a partial wipe of all official servers , which will take place on the same day - the 19th of March.

Although we have been a bit silent over the past couple of weeks, we were very much active behind the scenes, and the team was working hard to deliver something that will improve the overall experience of SCUM.

Without further ado, let's see what the team's been cooking and what they've got in store for you:

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Almost all aspects of the game will receive at least some type of improvement or fix. Everything from base building tweaks, weapon fixes, admin command adjustments, graphical fixes, new server settings... you name it!

While a lot of cool new tweaks and improvements are coming, we acknowledge that we're missing some shiny new features that are the main source of excitement. Rest assured, we're working on those as well and we'll have one in a few months. In the meantime, we will be releasing smaller patches on a monthly basis such as the one we'll have next week.

WIPE

We are also announcing that along with the patch, we will also conduct a partial wipe of all official servers, which will take place on the same day - the 19th of March.

We wanted to give the community enough time to make the necessary preparations, as you will be able to sell all your stock for gold, which you will then be able to use again to repurchase some of the stock that you owned.

To point it out just in case one more time - gold will NOT be wiped and you will be able to claim it after the wipe.

While unpopular to some, wipes are a necessity to keep servers running properly as they remove clutter such as unused bases and items from players who are no longer actively playing. They also make the servers fair and competitive for new players as everyone starts from the same position.

That being said, make sure to go out in a blaze of glory and paint the Island red before all your gear gets wiped!

As always, partial wipes will NOT be enforced on private servers, although we encourage server owners to do the same for the same reasons listed above.

ADDRESSING THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

We are aware of the radio silence from our side when it comes to the recent news of the Splash Damage acquisition and just wanted to use this opportunity to briefly refer to this.

There are a lot of moving parts and background processes happening right now. Lots of meetings on all sorts of topics are taking place, people and teams are getting to know each other, and there's all sorts of planning and decision-making that need to be conducted in order to create a crystal clear picture of our way forward.

Because we don't have all the information yet, we have decided to wait before making any official statements. As you're very much aware, things always tend to change if they are not locked in and we want to avoid coming out with anything that is not set in stone. The last thing everybody needs is additional confusion, and clarity and a clear picture are what the community needs most at this point.

That is why we'd like to kindly ask you for a bit of your patience on this matter.
