Scrapshoot changes
Another year of absolute Scrap!
Scrapshoot update 1.2 has landed!
This update is all about adding in brand new features. We've got maps, gamemodes, quality of life changes, and a slew of bugfixes.
New Map: Nuclear Swamp
A brand new map with a unique gamemode
We're happy to have added a brand new map - the Nuclear Swamp! Dodge falling globs of acid, watch the river glow at night, and beat your friends in the fourth map to come to Scrapshoot! Pools of acid slow down you down and damage your bots, be sure to watch out!
Gamemode Rework: Nighttime
We’ve also worked on an overhauled nighttime mode. Race your friends to collect batteries, which will allow you to keep moving quickly around the battlefield without running out of power. This effect has been applied to all nighttime maps, and overlaps with over map specific mechanics such as snow, conveyor belts, and the new acid mechanic.
Bug Fixes
Finally, there’s always plenty of bugs to be squashed and minor improvements to be made.
Fixed controller navigation in all menus Fixed in-game menus which couldn’t be closed with “B” on controllers Fixed hat menu softlock
Other tweaks
Bot and Disaster info menus improved Gameplay Settings menu overhaul Added more intuitive exit buttons to menus Added 3 new hats to unlock Adjusted scrap and item spawn rate Made AI slightly easier to play against Improved appearance of UI sliders Replaced Acid Rain icon Replaced Battery powerup with Tesla Coil
There are other bugs we are aware of and working hard to fix, as well as some exciting content coming down the pipeline… Stay scrappy friends! Keep your eyes peeled for some more updates this year, and we hope you enjoy playing Scrapshoot during the Remote Play fest!
