changedA summary of the demo's contents: you can do two combats, a quest line related to gearing up for the main quest, you can trap a pig in a special event, and you can optionally train up your party and do some shopping. You can do busking, fishing, stealing, trap disarming, undead raising, swimming, practice your stealth ambush and backstab on foes, and try out a potion. Putting on your fur armour and expanding your arsenal is advised - and make sure to grab some companions before your fight! The magic options go from a 3-spell quick start all the way up to about 50 you can train up. That's a small subset of the full selection in the game. The tutorials are short and scattered around the applicable events - skip them if you wish but some are worth learning if you want to get good. You can smash it out in 30 min or take your time for about 60 minutes, doing all that stuff.
changedThe full game, for which I finished the last level in December, still has a bit of content to tidy up (travel maps, companion quests, between act storyboards). So the game is still in Alpha. I suspect it will be in Beta within a month as the testers so far have suggested some pretty cool features that are likely to get built. A Beta is feature and content complete - not quite there yet!

Lots of great updates this month. Firstly, the demo is BUILT. You will be able to get your hands on it in the coming months. Its currently undergoing heavy external testing - thanks to my local buddies! - after which it will be subjected to even more testing. You would be amazed at just how many bugs and quirks are found by a single different set of eyes! Everyone plays games in their own way.

Steam post image In the demo, you do a 5 step selection to create your first main character - and then you are straight into the game play in your home village.

Scourge passed 5000 wishlists recently, and a couple days ago popped up for the first time on the much coveted "Popular Upcoming" list on Steam. That's a big deal for an indie - so celebrations were in order!
