Feedback is fundamental... I've been reading reviews, responding to discussions, and building with the most ruggish tuggish minds the world has to offer...

MO' MOVES __________________

You all helped highlight some areas where the combat in Scirocco Thugs is missing some spice.

  • One of the most requested features, Weapon Throwing, is in.

I've spent the last weekend polishing this system - now you'll be able to always throw whatever weapon you are holding, giving you an extra option to use for ranged combat & to extend that Combo that's JUST about to expire...

I have also added a little surprise when throwing loaded Firearms.;)

  • The way Jumping works has been reworked.

First of all - the Jump input is now a Kick-Jump - no longer requiring a separate key press to boost off walls.

This two step process turned out to be quite confusing in the Demo, and was really hard to remember in the heat of the mash out.

You'll be getting a new special KICK that will allow you to LUNGE FORWARD

... trading some Kick Fatigue for the ability to quickly cover distances and knock thugs on they ass!

Attacking while in the air will perform a new HEAVY ATTACK - expanding the player's moveset and giving you some extra tools to face the challenges ahead...

To reduce the effectiveness of button mashing and balance these additions, jumping will be limited by your Kick Fatigue ( the boot bar at the bottom of your screen ndr )

But DON'T FORGET - you get a full Kick Fatigue refill after Parrying, and str8 mashing thugz out also shortens your cooldown!

  • More weapons are coming.

Additional firearms and melee implements of THUG-FU are planned. Screwdrivers, T-Junction Lead pypes, Fully automatic rifles... I am also in the process of adjusting and re-balancing the weapons you've enjoyed in the demo - some of you might be happy to hear the Chain will get a fair bit more durability!

MO' STAGES __________________

Self explanatory. The demo was fairly short by virtue of featuring two stages ( and a secret encore arena )

The journey in the game builds up to the final boss fight - the DON himself. So it is important to lay out a road that prepares you for the ultimate mash-out.

The full game will feature a BRAND NEW SET OF STAGES, using lessons I've learned and your feedback to design encounters that keep you on your toes & playgrounds that aren't frustrating to navigate

Most importantly, I am planning on implementing even more unlock rewards based on your score!

Similar to what you've seen in the demo, the plan is to let you unlock Secret levels, that will feature both unique scenarios, arena survival stages, encores and some fun challenges to break the monotony. Bowling night , anyone? ːsteamhappyː

I will also include some Cheat Codes for to unlock - aimed at modifying gameplay, spicing up replays with cool modifiers... or just letting you go crazy on some thugs.

MO' PROBLEMS __________________

There's more than your score at stake....

While Tugg DiMamma is going to get new abilities and more equipment, the THUGS you'll be facing have also learned a lot from your confrontations in the demo.

The base objective of each stage is surviving the onslaught. Only masters of THUG-FU will be able to cold flexx on their opponents and reach the highest score rewards...

As such, you can expect your opponents to utilize FRESH NEW TECHNIQUES to stop you from reaching the Don himself ( and str8 mashing his face out )

Some of the work I have been doing on this front includes the ability for Mid-tier enemies to BLOCK YOUR ATTACKS as well as the introduction of special RAGE STATE Counter-Attacks

The goal here is to reward THUG-FU practictioners who utilize the moveset to the fullest, minimizing the effectiveness of spamming attacks and kicks.

Last but not least, I am also working on improving Ranged AI enemies. In particular, the Revolver Thugs can be extra frustrating to face, and I am working on a few changes to better highlight and balance out their attacks while still keeping the player on their toes
