fixedCrashes and Game Breaking BugFixed issue with Dire Bears where you could attack their leftover “damage mask” object which would crash the game (they spawn/despawn based on story progress)
fixedCrashes and Game Breaking BugFixing a screen/room in Highland Cliffs that completely stopped critical progression (you wound up outside the game world because many elements deactivated)

fixedCrashes and Game Breaking BugFixing issue with enemy corpses being launched into the ceiling (like if you smack them into it) which would crash/lock the game

Still hunting down some more elusive ones (like stackable objects crashing the game sometimes, like a pickup landing on an empty treasure chest > treasure chest being destroyed).

The game has been updated to 2.672:

Crashes and Game Breaking Bug

  • Fixed issue with Dire Bears where you could attack their leftover “damage mask” object which would crash the game (they spawn/despawn based on story progress)

  • Fixing a screen/room in Highland Cliffs that completely stopped critical progression (you wound up outside the game world because many elements deactivated)

  • Fixed softlocked controls on some cinematic movie sequences/screens (also updated default input visual prompt)

  • Fixing issue with enemy corpses being launched into the ceiling (like if you smack them into it) which would crash/lock the game

  • Fixing additional issues related to above, where scaling had been applied to certain “solid” objects in a scene, being a culprit of above and other issues (particularly in Kuchvek’s Crossing)

  • Fixing pickups dropped by slain enemies crashing game/softlocking (rare instances where a pickup could spawn up above enemy, pickup spawn above corpse platform, pickup shoved up into solid ceiling because of corpse platform)

  • Replaced a bunch of solid objects with newer “special” solid objects that are easier to track, create, and destroy where needed in regards to “cinematic” sequences, or when a level should change in some way – previous method was breaking a bunch of things

Bugs and Issues

  • Fixed weirdly sized hitboxes for more enemy corpses/skeletal remains

  • Fixed slimes, when attacked from below, could occasionally float upwards forever

  • Drowning damage was not working and is now working and can kill player (sorry deep sea divers)

  • Fixed some typos in burning village scenario dialogue text

  • Fixed equipment being drawn too low on player character if crouching and transitioning to climb down state

Thanks everyone! -Matt
