Build 421 Released as default! Patch Notes for 2/17

Here is a list of improvements and changes that you can expect with this update 421: Performance improvements From the second you launch into a new world, you will notice the improved load times.

addedPerformance improvementsFrom the second you launch into a new world, you will notice the improved load times. As you navigate the iced lands before you, the experience is drastically improved with this update!
changedPathing and avoidance around structures, objects and other creatures much improvedWhat this means is the AI will be functioning properly again. They will not be attacking you through walls, taking backpack rides on each other or standing around while you beat them in the face. Navigation should be drastically improved.
changedAnimations improvedYou will notice changes in the movement and general feel of the enemies. Seek out different foes to see these updates first hand!
removedIncreased combat performance and overall AI improvementsFights will feel better and balance numbers have been updated. You will no longer be attacked inside of buildings through the walls or see snow leak in through the ceiling of the house that you built so well.
changedSpawned items, enemies, and environment pieces have been tuned for each islandThis update will change the experience. You will find a different verity of enemies spawning in areas and rare spawns will be found more consistently. Item placement, dungeons, and buildings have been adjusted as well. Adventure forth!

Performance improvements

From the second you launch into a new world, you will notice the improved load times. As you navigate the iced lands before you, the experience is drastically improved with this update!

Pathing and avoidance around structures, objects and other creatures much improved

What this means is the AI will be functioning properly again. They will not be attacking you through walls, taking backpack rides on each other or standing around while you beat them in the face. Navigation should be drastically improved.

Spawned items, enemies, and environment pieces have been tuned for each island

This update will change the experience. You will find a different verity of enemies spawning in areas and rare spawns will be found more consistently. Item placement, dungeons, and buildings have been adjusted as well. Adventure forth!

Kur, hidden weapons, and other changes

All I can say is that Kur will make sure that these lands stay Savage. Hidden weapons and a few other surprises need to be discovered by braves Savages.

Dragon - Reduced damage (more in line with current armor scaling)

Dragon - Increased time from 20 secs to 40s from when Kur will fly away if not attacked during battle.

Forest Giants - Health increased by 20% and walk speed slowed by 10% Balance: Forest Giants - Alert status time reduced by 10 seconds (will not chase the player as long)

Forest Giants - General attack damage reduced by 50% (more in line with current armor scaling)

Forest Giants - Initial ground pound 20% stronger than 378 Balance: Forest Giants - Increased Everwood drop rate by 25% Balance: Whetstones can now be crafted by player Balance: Helion and Lycor health rebalanced Balance: Helion and Lycor damage reduced to fit current armor scaling Balance: Grey Reaver and Golden Reaver damage reduced to better Balance: Grey Reaver and Golden Reaver repair costs updated Balance: Shadow Shroud; Drakonous Shards needed reduced from 150 to 120 Balance: Drakonous shards have a chance of dropping from more mid/high tier boss mobs Balance: Reduced chance of getting diseased by Grinfels/Killots/Plague Wolves/Ghuuls by 22% Balance: Spirit Wolves added to more population spawners across the world Balance: Chilkoot/Rycnth/Kiffi (blue Fury)/Kruul spawn frequency reduced Balance: Chilkoot spawn has been moved and to a single area Balance: Flesh Ripper is no longer dual wield (in preparation for longer term changes)

Reduced Infernal Ghuuls AoE fire damage by 50% Balance: Player stamina usage while sprinting reduced by 10% (player uses less stamina)

Tweaked attack ranges and cooldowns across Undead Fury (includes bosses) class of creatures Balance: Tuned drops for young wolves and deer found on Snowmere to better reflect size of kill Balance: Tuned wolf population on Snowmere to better reflect desired difficulty of area Balance: Shadow Shroud attack speed increased from .4 seconds to .8 seconds. Could change based on future balance and new legacy/high tier weapons introduced into the game.

Wolfsbane attack speed increased from .5 seconds to .85 seconds. Could change based on future balance and new legacy/high tier weapons introduced into the game.

Fixed collider preventing players from entering DerStata Bug: Fixed issue with certain creatures and named bosses not being counted towards task list and achievements Bug: Fixed collider issue on bush causing chopping issues Bug: Killot AoE disease removed, now disease is applied on attack Bug: Fixed issue with Ram/Goat loot table Bug: Fixed lore text detailing where Forest Giant Eldar can be found Bug: Fixed camp fire flicker that would distort terrain at specific viewing angles at night Thank you once again for all the feedback and posts in these forums over 2017.
