Servus Allies!
Server Slam 2 has started and we're excited to welcome you all back to the planet of Sophie once more!
If you've requested access already, you should be able to download the playtest and jump straight back into the game now. If you haven't head over to the steam page now to request access and it will be directly added to your library for download.
The Server Slam will run for 48 hours from this announcement.
Since we closed the Server Slam early last week, the team have been hard at work poring through your feedback and reports, and have managed to address a number of the most significant issues we identified over the 5 days.
Here's a quick summary of some of the most prominent fixes and changes we've implemented:
Significant server stability improvements
Fixed the issue with changing loot when opening containers with items
Fixed the issue when dunes wouldn't disappear on the Dreadnought and final extraction points
Fixed the issue when the compartment door wouldn't appear after being fixed by the repair kit
Fixed the issue where, in the Outlaw control scheme, the player wasn't able to change ammunition type
Fixed the issue when in Outlaw control scheme, the character would be in idle state, and when they would punch instead of shooting
Added reload SFX for the single-shot rifles
Added "News" UI to the gameplay
This will allow us to notify players about the planned server reboots and maintenance during the expeditions
Add music to the expedition result and loot division screens
Balance changes:
Shotgun cannons now have progressively better spread the higher the tier
Increased Leviathan Damage from 50 to 100
WOK Bomb no longer spawns on regular artifact spawn locations
WOK Bomb can now only be found with a chance on the dreadnought
Smoke Grenade will now spawn in a stack of 2 instead of 3
Increased Experimental Railgun Reload Time by 0.5s
Ironclads will now drop turrets slightly less often
Repair Kits now have 3 charges
Rare Weapons will drop with a slightly smaller chance from rare weapon crates
Green Key will appear slightly less often in safes
Custom Ammo will appear more frequently in rare weapon crates
Utility Locked Boxes will have a bit more loot in them
Valuables Locked Box will now have a chance of a green key spawning inside
Tuned Price of Armor Plates (they are a bit more expensive now)
Improved performance in Storm Dive
Entities in the storm are now destroyed
Tutorial screens (on F1 button) will be displayed for new players
Animation and texture-related updates
customization LODs distance fix
LODs for character backpack
replaced some animations
some fixes for ghouls animations
fixed ghouls flying hat
Added additional SFXs to the Storage screen
Updated "safety catch" for the cases when the player might spawn outside of the dropship
Fixed an issue where a character's hands are displayed as broken during interaction with the Steering Wheel while holding a C4
Fixed an issue where player names might not be displayed/disappear
Fixed a lot of issues in the lobby when playing with high ping/bad internet connection
Fixed an issue where if there were copies of the same item, the wrong item was transferred instead of the one you clicked on
Fixed an issue where an incorrect amount was put into cargo if you tried to transfer more than 1 stack worth of an item
Fixed an issue where the player could get softlocked on the Loot Division after the disconnect
Note that this isn't a complete list of everything that has been addressed since the Server Slam, just the more commonly reported or more impactful issues. For this Server Slam, we have decided to keep the players progression from the previous Server Slam and have unlocked the tech tree so that everything can be tested thoroughly. This will be wiped ahead of launch on the 22nd.
Also, Linux platforms are now supported in this build but you will need to install the Proton BattlEye Runtime in your Steam library!
