changedFound a way to eliminate Storm Dive waiting times altogether. We will now spawn in players on Storm Dive for the first 10 minutes, before the first circle starts moving. Since the map is very large, we don't anticipate issues and will test it this weekend.
changedFound a large memory leak associated with navmeshes. Ironclads will now drop down, think for a second while generating their navigation mesh, and then start tracking you. This should help any kind of lag you've experienced: rubberbanding, getting stuck in turrets, hit registration, etc
changedVoyages servers will stop letting players in if the server is experiencing any issues. Existing players won't get kicked, the server will simply wait until everyone is extracted and wind down.
addedEveryone who participated in the 2 previous Closed Playtests will be re-invited, along with all new applicants. So if you haven’t taken part before, we encourage you to sign up using THIS FORM . Servus Scavengers, a quick update on the upcoming Server Slam.

The Server Slam is now scheduled to begin on Friday, June 5th, and on the same day we will also be announcing the official release date for SAND: Raiders of Sophie!

Thanks to everyone participating in the latest tests we were able to identify and fix a few critical issues. Just to name a few:

  • Found a way to eliminate Storm Dive waiting times altogether. We will now spawn in players on Storm Dive for the first 10 minutes, before the first circle starts moving. Since the map is very large, we don't anticipate issues and will test it this weekend.

  • Found a large memory leak associated with navmeshes. Ironclads will now drop down, think for a second while generating their navigation mesh, and then start tracking you. This should help any kind of lag you've experienced: rubberbanding, getting stuck in turrets, hit registration, etc

  • Voyages servers will stop letting players in if the server is experiencing any issues. Existing players won't get kicked, the server will simply wait until everyone is extracted and wind down.

  • Lots of fixes incoming

We will be testing these in the final closed playtest TOMORROW, Saturday May 30.

Everyone who participated in the 2 previous Closed Playtests will be re-invited, along with all new applicants. So if you haven’t taken part before, we encourage you to sign up using THIS FORM. (Please ensure all of your details are correct, as we will be inviting applicants throughout the weekend.)

Thank you to all of our closed playtesters, and to everyone for your understanding!

See you on Sophie this weekend...
