Hey there,
Thanks for checking out the game and for all the feedback so far. It’s been really helpful in pointing things in the next direction. Will work to definitively improve the visuals over time, including grabbing some artists to replace some card and enemy art (especially for attack and defend animations as it probably feels rather boring atm). More updates to follow as things progress.
And I get it. AI stinks - people hate it and that makes total sense. It helped this get put together for free (and hence giving it away for free as well). But this can use more work, that's for sure.
Updates:
Added a check against back-to-back campfires in map generation to prevent bug causing impassable stuck scenarios
Fixing "undefined" debuff tooltips
Added floating damage numbers on attack so it's clear when enemy HP is lost and on gaining block; these will float for slightly longer as well
Lowered default Music and Sound Effects volume to 50%
Hand now keeps card positions after playing instead of reformatting, always aligned to the left of the container
Adding UI scaling option for adjusting to differing screen sizes - your choice: from 50% smaller to up to 500% larger.
