addedExperimental Branches on Steam allow developers to provide opportunities for the community to playtest a build before posting them to the Live Branch (the default branch for players). If you’re interested in participating, simply right click on Sanctuary Saga in your Steam Library, select Properties, navigate to the Betas tab, and select “experimental” from the drop down menu. This will force Steam to update Sanctuary Saga to the new branch.
changedSome notes regarding save files in Sanctuary Saga: there is no method to switch save files back and forth between versions. So if you choose to participate in Experimental, I would recommend either copying your save to a different Save Slot or assign a certain range of your Save Slots to a specific version of the game. For example, you may decide to designate Save Slots 11-15 for playing on the Experimental branch to help with testing, while leaving slots 1-10 dedicated to the Live branch for your prior saves. While technically the files may work with multiple versions, they won’t always get the updated values (gear costs, level requirement adjustments, etc). So we recommend designating certain Save Slots to specific game versions.
changedThe v1.1 Build focused on adjustments to Loot/Currency Gains, rebranding the Prologue, and miscellaneous QoL improvements for the start of the game. Full patch notes can be found here . We appreciate any feedback provided by those who choose to participate in the Experimental testing. We plan to move v1.1 to Live sometime next week if no major issues are identified.
addedIn the coming days we will be investing some time in organizing the Steam Discussion forum to better serve the community. These will be moderated similar to other forums and will serve alongside our Discord as one of the primary ways we pass info to the community. Initially, we will add in Rules, Bug Tracking, and Patch Feedback threads. We’re also considering posting a Puzzle Room Spoilers thread for those who want to play the game but aren’t into the puzzle aspects of JRPGs (please let us know your thoughts on this).
changedThanks for tuning in and best wishes with the updated content! As always, sharing out to your socials, writing reviews, and boosting the signal helps our community grow!
