Salvation: Echoes of War changes
Steam post image Now that Steam Next Fest has wrapped, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Watching you play the Salvation: Echoes of War demo — and take the time to share your thoughts — meant the world to our small team.
We read every single piece of feedback. All of it. And rather than letting it sit in a spreadsheet, we got to work. Here's what some of your feedback directly led to:
Puzzle clarity — The head puzzle's mechanics and goal are much clearer now, so it's easier to understand how to solve it.
Companion (dog) overhaul — Significant upgrades for smoother movement, a better UI that clearly conveys cooldowns, and a round of bug fixes.
New camera & display options — You can now center or invert the camera, plus adjust contrast to suit your setup.
Profiles & subtitles — Support for multiple save profiles, and subtitles in seven different languages.
And remember — the demo was just a taste of the world of Salvation. The final game opens up into a much larger experience, with a variety of environments to explore, new characters to meet, and gameplay mechanics that weren't part of the demo. This is exactly why we ran the demo — your input made the game better in ways we couldn't imagine. We're heads-down on the final stretch now, and we can't wait to put the finished game in your hands.
Thank you for being part of this.
— The Salvation Team
