Dear players! Today we're releasing the patch containing the next chapter of Saloon Simulator. This is the biggest update since the game launched in Early Access - the result of several months of work. If you haven't visited Blueberry in a while, now is a great time to catch up.
What's been added since Early Access launch?
Employee system (cook, waiter, cleaner & bartender)
Pickpocketing mechanic
Fistfight mechanic
Reworked train unloading mechanic
Reputation system - adding progression after finishing the story
Courtesan mechanic
Additional rooms to unlock and over 100 new furniture pieces and saloon decorations
What's arriving today?
To everyone who has been following the game closely and testing the latest changes - thank you, sincerely. You're what keeps us going day to day, and it's thanks to your feedback and ideas that Saloon gets a little better with each update. Here's what's just landed in the game.
New Story Quests
Take on new quests and find out who talked Cheyenne into learning to pickpocket, how hiring employees ties into the contract, why sometimes it's worth throwing a punch, and who came up with the idea of expanding the saloon's offer with certain... unique services. Steam post image
Moonshining
When business is slow and your staff have everything under control, it might be time to pick up a second trade. Buy some apples, bottles, and the necessary equipment, and start producing your own cider. Cook, distill, bottle, ship, and expand your contacts. Let Blueberry be known by day for the finest saloon in the West — and by night for its finest distillery. Steam post image
New Recipes & Ingredients
Some time has passed since the daring defense of the town in the previous chapter, giving Blueberry a chance to rebuild. The town is growing, and new ingredients are finding their way in. New vegetables and fruits, new cuts of meat, and a range of drink additions - including something as exotic as imported Curaçao. Brandy has also arrived, along with the so-called green fairy herself: absinthe. With these new ingredients, your bar will satisfy even the most demanding tastes, and every drink will feel like a wild ride through flavor country. Steam post image
Voice Acting
We're very happy to announce that Chapter 3 quests will be fully voiced! Returning characters will once again be brought to life by the actors you already know, and two new faces are joining the cast - Bee Malik as Otto and Julie Wettstein as Lucy. Voice lines for your employees and courtesans are already in production - they'll arrive in the next patch.
Bug Fixes
Fixed customers getting stuck in rented rooms Fixed a bug causing no customers to appear after hiring a bartender Fixed customers getting stuck in the drink queue Fixed customers getting stuck in the gambling room during rush hour Fixed fistfights between customers not triggering correctly Fixed some employees not leaving the saloon at night Fixed a bug where the waiter could occasionally leave soup floating in mid-air Fixed some employees not showing up for work
What's Next for Saloon Simulator?
Our next patch is planned for June and will be a content update - bringing, among other things, full voice acting for all your employees. We'll also be updating our roadmap soon with the next stops on the way to the next major milestone: Chapter 4. Thank you - truly - for every hour spent in Blueberry, every bug report, and every kind word along the way. Chapter 3 is our most ambitious update yet, and it wouldn't exist without your support. We hope it's worth the wait. If you're enjoying the game, leaving a review on Steam means the world to us and helps more players find their way to Blueberry. As always, please report bugs on our Discord or in the "Bug Report" thread on Steam Discussions. Steam post image See you in Blueberry (and on Discord)!
