Improved anchors

  • anchors can now be picked up and dropped manually, allowing you to use them for maneuvering (kedging)

  • anchors will now hold more effectively as they become more parallel with the seabed

  • improved the reliability of anchor physics to prevent anchors releasing randomly and other unexpected behavior

  • the anchor state is now saved between sessions

Other changes

  • performance optimizations: in some cases, you might see 30%-40% increase in FPS, depending on your system

  • oars now apply more force at low speeds, but lose their effectiveness as boat speed increases. This should make them usable for low speed maneuvers even on the big ships

  • reduced the food and water cost of using oars

  • reduced the friction between boats and terrain to make grounded boats easier to get unstuck

  • fixed a bug where the game wouldn't load if you only had one active save slot
