Here’s a small development update about a new atmospheric feature currently in progress - a portable radio 📻

Many people like to play music in the background while doing routine things like studying, cleaning, or working. Running a small village shop felt like exactly that kind of calm routine, so the idea of adding a radio to the game appeared naturally.

The most interesting part is that you will be able to use your own music.

The game will read audio files from a Music folder. You’ll simply drop your playlist there and the radio will play those tracks.

Right now the feature works roughly like this:

  • the radio can be picked up and carried around

  • you can switch tracks forward and backward

  • spatial sound the closer you are, the louder it plays

  • a small red indicator light shows when it is turned on

  • the radio can be placed anywhere in the shop while you work

Visually it’s inspired by old portable radios like the Soviet Ocean models - something that could easily be found in a rural store.

It’s interesting to see how the atmosphere of the scene changes when music starts playing in the shop.

I’m also curious about your opinion: would you use a feature like this - adding your own playlist to the game? Or would you prefer listening to the music included in the game?

If the project interests you, please consider adding the game to your wishlist and sharing your ideas and feedback.
