Russian Village Business changes
Over the past months, development of Russian Village Business has focused on refining and restructuring core systems. This kind of work may not always look impressive, but it’s crucial for making the game feel consistent and comfortable to play.
Dialogues, Calls, and Day Completion
We’ve built a simple dialogue system with player choices, currently used for phone calls. During conversations, players can use a notebook that can be taken out or put away depending on the situation.
We also added a logical way to end the game day. By approaching the bed, the player finishes the day, the game saves automatically, and time skips to the next morning at 7:00.
Settings and Sound
We’re actively working on the settings menu UI. All volume sliders are now connected to FMOD. Sound work has been fully moved there, with different sound types set up: ambience, short interaction sounds, and looping sounds that can be manually stopped.
Graphics Settings and vSync
The following options are already implemented:
Screen resolution
Display mode
Vertical sync
FPS limit
When vSync is enabled, Unity ignores the FPS limit, so the limiter is automatically disabled to keep settings behavior clear and predictable.
3 Months of Development - Summary
So far, we’ve implemented:
The core gameplay loop (working in the shop);
Cleaning mechanics;
30+ products for sale;
Around 20 villagers and shop visitors;
Several buildings: the shop, village administration, a club, and 3 house types;
A day and night cycle;
A large number of environment props;
Overall optimization.
We’ve already reached 330+ wishlists - thank you for the support! Please consider adding Russian Village Business to your wishlist and stay tuned for future updates.
