Repeated intro

Hello, Elmok here. While the next update for RuneLight isn't quite ready yet, I have an important announcement on the future. In (just under) 2 weeks, on October 18,2024, RuneLight will be going from 5 USD to 10 USD. This is to go along with major update 0.4, which will release the following week on October 25, 2024

changedWhy?When I first priced RuneLight, I was planning a much smaller scoped and simple game. However, that original vision wasn't shaping up to be a fun game, so a little over a year ago I decided to majorly rescope, expand on, and rework RuneLight. I have put a lot more work into making the game better, and I believe it is fair to increase the price to reflect the larger scope and effort going into it
changedWhy now?The price is increasing to go along with the 0.4 update, which is an important benchmark. As of 0.4, I consider RuneLight to be feature complete in regards to the core mechanics. Other than a few smaller features like proper boss fights and additional primary weapons, the gameplay of 0.4 is the same gameplay you can expect from the full release
changedWill RuneLight increase in price again? No. At some point you have to decide where to draw the line in the sand and define what will and will not make it into the game, and over the past couple weeks I've been really ironing out what will and will not make it into 1.0 and what price I believe to be fair for the content RuneLight offers.
changedWill RuneLight increase in price again? As such, any future expansions to the game's scope will come as either free post 1.0 updates or potentially paid dlc, but the base game of RuneLight will always be 10USD
changedWhat happens next?within the next week I will be releasing a detailed roadmap and video laying out exactly what my plans are so you can know exactly what to expect going forwards. A week later, the price will go up from 5USD to 10USD, as well as teasers for 0.4, an update to the trailer and promotional material. The following week 0.4 will come out
