changedThis update brings one of the biggest gameplay and presentation improvements since launch, focused on making battles more tactical, clearer, and more rewarding to play.
changedBattle Screen Rework The entire battle presentation has been rebuilt. - The match board now appears as a centered battle overlay with its own frame. - The battlefield background remains visible during player turns. - The board appears only when the player can act and hides after the chain resolves. - Hero HP bars are now vertical beside each hero. - Enemy HP bars are now vertical beside each enemy. - Ultimate charge bars are now clearer and attached to each hero status display. - Hero portraits now stay fixed at the top-left of the battle screen. - Ready ultimates now have a visual glow and a clear “Ultimate Ready” indicator. - Battle UI alignment, margins, readability, and spacing were improved across the screen. New Battle UI Options New options were added so players can customize battle visibility: - Battle HUD opacity - Battle board opacity Element & Enemy Balance Rework
addedElements now matter much more in battle. - Enemy elemental identities were reviewed and diversified. - Enemy weaknesses and resistances are now more relevant. - Attacking resistant enemies is now noticeably less effective. - Team composition and element choices should now have a stronger impact on battle performance. Boss & Elite Control Resistance Bosses and elites are now much harder to lock down permanently with Freeze or Paralyze. - Bosses now have heavy resistance against Freeze and Paralyze. - Elites also resist control effects, but less than bosses. - Repeated control attempts become less reliable over time. - Boss control effects are limited to shorter duration. This should reduce infinite control loops while still keeping control-based heroes useful. Ultimate Charge Balance Ultimate charge speed has been reduced slightly. The goal is to make ultimates feel more strategic and less spammable, especially now that class roles, elements, and enemy resistances have more weight. Class Role Rework
addedHero classes now have more meaningful passive value. Different roles now contribute in clearer ways, including offensive bonuses, defensive bonuses, and role-based combat advantages. This should make more heroes feel useful instead of pushing players toward only a small set of optimal picks.
addedDuplicate Summon Improvement Duplicate heroes now provide extra value. When summoning a duplicate, players receive bonus essence, making duplicate pulls more useful for account progression instead of feeling wasted. Artifact System A new artifact system has been added. Players can now collect, equip, upgrade, and combine artifacts. Artifacts provide additional effects that can influence combat and progression, giving players another layer of long-term build customization. Summary This update is focused on making Runebound Legends feel more tactical, more readable, and more rewarding to build around.
addedElements, classes, ultimates, artifacts, and enemy resistances should now matter more, while the new battle layout should make combat much easier to follow.
