Bubbits Demo Update 5 - More Responsive Controls

changedDeveloper ThoughtsPrior to the big netcode update earlier this year, it was technically not possible to have players taking actions in a quicker succession. Now that it is possible, I am so happy that I can tighten up the controls to the next level, even in Multiplayer!

Big features

  • Shorter cannon load time

  • Tighter cooldown between shots

  • You can now use hold while a bubble is still in flight

  • Scroll mouse wheel to use hold (this one feels really good!!)

  • Long story short: The gameplay should feel more fluid

Bugfixes

  • Daily not working for the past 12 hours is fixed now!

Developer Thoughts

This update is a really important one for me. Bubbits controls felt alright before, but I always felt like they could be even more tight.

Prior to the big netcode update earlier this year, it was technically not possible to have players taking actions in a quicker succession. Now that it is possible, I am so happy that I can tighten up the controls to the next level, even in Multiplayer!
