Ruku's Heart Balloon changes
On May 3rd, 2026, we exhibited at Tokyo Game Dungeon 12 with two titles: "Card Collect (tentative title) (Super !! Card Collect)" and "Ruku's Heart Balloon."
This was our fifth event exhibition (2022 DigiGame Expo, 2023 TIGS, 2023 Picture Book Festa, 2023 Design Festa). As it had been two and a half years since our last event, we prepared for this one while recalling the good and bad points of our past exhibitions.
Playable Demo: Ruku's Heart Balloon
Already available for purchase on Switch, Xbox, and Steam. Since it was featured in the INDIE Live Expo's GAMES ON SALE broadcast on April 25th, 2026, we decided to offer a playable demo for the first time in a while.
Based on past experience, we had three playable units. The demo featured a free mode (a mode where players can freely play puzzles) rather than the story mode. Everyone enjoyed playing the puzzle for about 10 minutes, exclaiming, "Wow...! It's really deep!"
70 people tried the game! We explained the story mode to those who played the puzzle, showing them the picture book. Some even bought the book!
At our first event, the Digital Game Expo, if my memory serves me correctly, we had 36 people try the game... This time, we had significantly more people play!
Exhibit: Card Collect (tentative), Super!! Card Collect
Since it's a game where you endlessly open TCG packs, we created a POP display similar to the original packs sold at card shops. People looked at Ruku's and then at the Card Collect display, saying, "What is this...?"
We distributed a promotion where you could draw actual cards from a card vending machine by registering on a wish list, and 20 people registered on the wish list.
INDIE Live Expo and Tokyo Game Dungeon 12
The special pages for INDIE Live Expo and Tokyo Game Dungeon 12, which started on April 25th, are now available on Steam. During that time, many people purchased our games or added them to their wishlists.
Among the customers who visited our booth at Tokyo Game Dungeon 12, some said, "I tried it at TIGS!" or "I saw it at INDIE Live Expo!" We want to participate in various events, both online and offline, to increase opportunities for people to learn about RucKyGAMES' games!
