The Big One: DLC Becomes Free For Everyone

We’ve made a huge change to Royal Wars Farm TD. The DLC content is no longer gated — every player now has full access to all gameplay content for free. That means everyone can now:

  • Build maps in the Level Editor

  • Upload maps to the Steam Workshop

  • Play every campaign chapter

  • Unlock and use every previously DLC-locked tower

Going forward, the game will be supported through cosmetics and optional microtransactions instead. Existing DLC Owners Thank you for supporting the game early on ❤️ All existing DLC owners will still receive their 1300 Crystal bonus as a thank-you reward.

New Features

New Preview Grid A dded a new placement preview grid to improve building visibility and precision while editing maps.

Level Editor

Sensible Defaults New maps now start with proper default values instead of empty or zeroed settings.

Level Editor

Unsaved Changes Warning Leaving the editor or reloading the scene will now warn you before unsaved work is lost. Performance Improvements General optimization and performance improvements across the game.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the Dragoon Tower being impossible to purchase with gold.

  • Fixed rotated 2x2 tiles appearing in incorrect positions in-game.

Future Updates

Planned future updates include:

  • Level leaderboards

  • More improvements to the editor

  • Additional gameplay updates and polish

Royal Wars Farm TD will remain free-to-play. Development will continue whenever I have the time, and I’ll try my best to continue supporting the game as much as possible.
