Royal Revolt Survivors changes
Dear Survivors and Warriors,
we have just released the first Early Access Milestone update (v0.2.0) for Royal Revolt Survivors! ːsteamhappyː And there is quite some stuff coming with it: New Warrior Variations, Items, Quests, and quality-of-life features.
But there is more! If you want to learn about all new content, all additions, fixes, and optimizations in detail, here is the complete changelog::
NEW FEATURE: Banishes
Players can spend a banish to prevent an upgrade from appearing when levelling up
To unlock Banishes, complete the required quest, then buy the upgrade at the Blacksmith

Balance changes
The new trinkets and weapons add more power to the earlygame, and several maps have been rebalanced as a result. We are monitoring the overall difficulty of the game and will continue to make adjustments whenever we find extreme spikes or slumps in difficulty.
Royal Forest and Royal Forest (HARD) have been reworked. They now have a total duration of 15 minutes, down from 20 minutes, bosses spawn faster and the enemy density is much higher.
Due to the above change, Green Orcs & Brown Wolves have had their HP reduced from 12 to 10.
New enemy added: Grey Wolf, 7 HP. Can be encountered during the early waves of Royal Forest & Royal Forest (HARD).
- Royal Forest (HARD)Increased enemy HP starting from around minute 6; increased enemy HP multiplier from 1.5 to 1.75 (the latter change also affects Nightmare Mode)
- Red Canyon (Normal)Increased small Scorpion density for several waves; enemy HP scaling now starts after 5 minutes (up from 3)
- Red Canyon & Red Canyon (Normal & HARD)reduced small Scorpion & Scorpion Swarm HP from 2 to 1
- Red Canyon (HARD)slightly reduced density of the first two Scaractus waves
- Glacial Northland (Normal)Increased enemy HP starting from around minute 13
Glacial Northland (HARD): the Dragon now has 4x more HP (it was erroneously using the HP from Glacial Northland Normal)
Slightly increased XP penalties in 3-player and 4-player coop, from -15% / -50% to -35% / -70%
- "Extra Projectiles II" & "Extra Melee Attacks II" Questslowered requirement from "survive 40 minutes" to 30 minutes
- Minaadded +0.4 base movement speed
Monk's Brew: base attack area 1.2 > 1.6, damage timing from every 1.5s > 1.0s, attack speed gain on levels 4 & 7 15% > 25%
Gobbotek Mines: multi-mine frequency 0.6s > 0.4s
Ice Claws attack area 0.65 > 1.0
Ice Claws now perform a cross slash instead of parallel slashes
Blizzard Claws: base damage 8 > 12
Changed the description of the Ice Claws in all languages to match the new behavior
Pet Changes
Pets now gain the player's projectile amount. This affects the Crawler, Dark Dragonling and their enchantments. As a result of this,these pets have been rebalanced, with the Dark Dragonling actually getting buffs since it was somewhat underperforming.
Crawler: projectile damage timing 0.25 > 0.5; base attack duration 2 > 1; Level 2 attack speed 50% > +25%, levels 3 & 5 attack duration +50% > +25%
Psycho Crawler enchantment: first projectile base damage 11 > 12; splinter projectile damage 11 > 6
Dark Dragonling: base damage 1 > 3
Light Dragonling enchantment: base damage 4 > 6
Incinerator: base attack area (= pet size) 0.6 > 0.8, attack cooldown 3s > 2s; base damage 5 > 8; base damage gain on levels 5 & 7 +2 > +3 (this was bugged and showed as +3 already when it was in fact +2)
Made all pets easier to see
Bugfixes & Polishing
Starting Tomes, Rerolls and Banishes from multiple players stack now. This also works in local co-op (in this case, the host's stats are multiplied by the amount of players).
Fixed a bug where limit break levels that add projectiles didn't work properly
- Kunaifixed a bug that made the Kunai deal less damage on later levels than intended. As a result, the damage gain on levels 4 & 7 had to be reduced from 4 to 2 (it still deals more damage now than before).
- Boomerangfixed a bug that increased the Boomerang's duration more than intended. This fix results in slightly reduced range.
- Spiral Boomerangpickup range increased by x4
Removed the accidental line break in the Reroll amount display during levelups
Cleaned up the settings menu a bit
Increased stat display size in pause screen when hovering over weapons & trinkets
Made chain lightning (from Lightning Blade Enchantment and now also Book of Thunder) easier to see
Made the Armadillo's projectile attacks slightly easier to see
Disabled on-hit VFX for Gaia Harp & Autumn Storm (this should significantly increase performance when using these weapons)
Made the ground elements of Tempest Rod & Stormbringer slightly more transparent (should help in darker areas)
- The KingFirst Paladin: fixed a mixup in the ability description in Portuguese
- Gaia Harpfixed a mixup in the level 4 upgrade benefit description in Chinese
Fixed text overflow in Polish for Critical Hit Chance & Critical Hit Damage in the pause screen
Fixed the weird title for the "Unlock Mesa" quest in all languages other than English
Notes
For players that have already fulfilled the new quest requirements to unlock Mirror Mask Umberto & Magician Lord King prior to the patch's release, simply entering any map once will trigger the unlocks.
