Meet the Rolandos

Rolandos are the rolling, rowdy characters that populate the Rolando Kingdom and they come in all shapes and sizes. A big part of the game is learning their different abilities and behaviours and figuring how how you can turn this rabble into a useful team.

Here's a quick intro to some of the Rolandos and other characters you'll meet along the way.

Jack, Ronnie, Cecil, Duke and Rosa

The gang! These five have been pals since childhood and while they don't sport any unusual skills, their bravery and proectiveness of their fellow Rolandos makes them a great addition to any team. Expect leaping, rolling, trampolining, operating machinery and pushing of any explosive (or sleeping) spherical objects that you might encounter.

King Edward XVII

A fair, but occasionally ineffective King, Edward spends more than 16 hours a day asleep, more than the royal cat. His stewardship over the Rolando Kingdom has earned him much love from the population, but he is not an ideal team-member for an adventure. The rest of your Rolando team will have to provide protection throughout the adventure, using their combined heft to nudge and roll the King to safety.

Major Keye and Sergeant Thorne

Major Keye and Sergeant Thorne are part of the elite Spikey Commandos unit - dedicated to proecting the Royal Family and Rolando Kingdom. Spikey Commandos spend years (and sometimes decades) perfecting their extraordinary movement skills. These Rolando leverage their spikey bodies to stick to almost any surface, allowing them to climb walls, stick to ceilings and perform daring manoeuvres out of reach to the ordinary Rolando.

Prince Gladstone

The next generation of Royals have the opposite problem of their father: their boundless energy sees them constantly in motion, bouncing from wall to wall and constantly rolling out of view. Prince Gladstone's protection is of upmost importance, so just as with the King, you'll be on Royal protection duty, but perhaps his endless rolling might of some use?
