addedListen up StormersThe next update is almost here. And we call it: The Class Warfare Update. It is going to change some of the game play that we introduced with the rogue mission update. First : There will be some significant changes to the characters, or classes. They will be equipped with an individual set of abilities, a unique armor and a base weapon, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. You cannot drop these or swap it with new weapons. Instead you’ll be able to pick up secondary weapons, which will compensate some of the base weapons weaknesses. The drawback is, that they will have a limited resource supply. Second : We improved the level design. Exploration is an important part of the game, and our improvements take care of the overall readability of each level. We also adjusted the spawn point behavior. Currently they’ll activate and remain active as long as you are in its vicinity, constantly spawning new enemies. After the update they will be triggered by certain events and spawn enemies less often, but in greater numbers. After the update more fun moments in the game should come from having an awesome base class that plays in the unique way, finding cool toys, and making the right decisions relative to current resources, where those resources can change significantly from one game to the next. To give you an example We present: Stabbygale (Our first FEMALE Stormer!) A former barmaid in one of Ravensdale’s shady taverns, Abigail Arling had to witness the gradual corruption of her patrons first hand. After then witnessing how her best friend was first harassed and then torn apart by orcs before her very eyes, she snapped. Abigail picked up the shotgun from the beneath the bar counter and went on a killing spree. As slivers of her sanity came back to her, she claimed a Dieselstörmer Armor and joined the only band of misfits still willing to face Hektör von Garg and his army of monsters – The Dieselstörmers. Weapon : Shotgun Strength : High damage at close range Weakness : Limited Range, damage decreases with range Active ability : a retractable buzz saw that pulls enemies towards you and right into your shotgun range for execution. This ability is triggered by the player and will have to cool down before it can be used again. Passive ability : Whenever Stabbygale gets hit, it sets off an explosion, damaging every enemy in close-quarters range and hurling them away. This ability is triggered automatically EVERY time Stabbygale gets hit and costs valuable hit points. This is just a sneak peek into the upcoming “Class Warfare” update. Once we have released the “Class Warfare Update” will post a complete change-log with more information. So keep your eyes peeled and let us know what you think so far in the comments below.
