Rogue Spirit changes
Hey Spirits,
We’re not ones for holding back on the Christmas cheer, so we thought we’d drop our next update early!!
Here’s what’s coming to Rogue Spirit in v0.7!
New Biome - The Forest of Souls The Forest of Souls is an ancient wilderness that has been growing in Midra since before the founding of the Kindom itself. Once a holy place of worship that attracted pilgrims from all over the Kingdom, the Forest of Souls is now it’s avoided by anyone who values their life. Defending the Forest of Souls will be Aspect of Death - the previous keeper of the Marshes, and replacing them will be…
Aspect of Decay
Aspect of Decay has been made to engulf the player in flames. His primary attacks include throwing his lanterns at the player, a terrifying fire tornado and a string of multiple melee attacks - some of which are unblockable.
New Encounters & Skills We’ve added a new encounter to v0.7, built around the dashing mechanic
Players will only be able to deal damage by dashing into the enemy - no other attack will work. Each successful hit will not only deal damage but also give a “kick” effect, which causes more damage when the kicked enemy hits an object in the field.
Sounds cool, right?
We’ve also introduced 2 new skills - Fire Tornado and Blink. Fire Tornado, creates a whirling gust of fire that slowly moves in the direction of oncoming enemies. Applying damage along the way. Perfect for mowing down the advancing Chaos. Next, we have Blink, a very useful skill for those who are looking to be a little adventurous and play with their prey. It allows the player to be teleported behind the enemies. Very useful when combined with a well-timed parry.
New Character - Reaver Let us introduce you to Reaver. The first thing you’ll notice is his weapon, the Kusarigama, consists of 2 parts - a sharp hook, used to slash and stab enemies, which is then linked by a chain to a weighted spike. It is known that this has been dated back to the Edo period in Japan.
His primary attack is a 3-hit combo, that uses both parts of the Kusarigama. But, when the spike is hooked onto an enemy, the combo slows down to only 2 strikes.
Reaver’s secondary attack is to throw the weighted spike at the enemy, however unlike the Slasher, this then latches onto the opponent, and when hooked, will do damage every time the player successfully lands another hit - whether on that same enemy or another, making Reaver really good for crowd control!
