Dev Log #2: New Systems, New Exploits!

Big update this time — new exploits, a whole new mechanic, and some important fixes. Here's what's new:

NEW: Poker Hand System

Your cards now form poker hands — and certain exploits can take advantage of them. Pairs, straights, flushes, three-of-a-kind, full house... your hand in blackjack now has a whole second layer of strategy on top of the number game.

NEW EXPLOITS (16!)

A wave of new exploits that synergize with the poker hand and some perks that work with the push system:

Pair Exploits:

• Background Miner — Pair in hand: Gain $5 (any result)

• Buffer Overflow — Pair in hand on win: +6 bonus damage

• Mirror Protocol — Pair in hand: Gain 5 shield (absorbs damage next round)

• Legacy Driver — Pair on win: Gain $6 and restore 3 Integrity

Advanced Hands:

• Two-Factor Auth — Two Pair on win: Gain $12, but shop prices increase by $3 permanently

• Crash Dump — Three of a Kind on win: Deal 10 bonus damage

• Sequence Injector — Straight (3+ consecutive): +3 hand value

• Suit Overwrite — Flush (3+ same suit): Stun dealer next round

• Full Stack — Full House on win: Heal to full Integrity

Special Mechanics:

• Null Pointer — Face cards (J/Q/K) count as 0 value

• Memory Leak — Start each hand with 3 cards. If the 3rd card would bust, it returns to the deck. Hitting 21 counts as natural Blackjack

• Limit Breaker — Bust at 31 instead of 22

• Technical Debt — Push: Gain Glitch Stack. Win: +4 DMG / -2 Integrity per stack (consumed)

• Micro-Transaction — Lose by 1: Pay $15 to force a Push

• Safe Mode — Push: Restore 6 Integrity

• System Error: Refund — Push: Gain $8 hush money

BUG FIXES

• Alt+Tab Ghost Windows (Windows 11) — Alt+Tab was creating duplicate phantom entries of the game on Windows 11. Reworked how fullscreen works under the hood to eliminate this entirely.

• Player HP Going Below Zero — Technical Debt damage could push your Integrity into negative numbers. Fixed.

• Perk Icon Consistency — All new exploits now have proper icons, and existing icon names were cleaned up for consistency.

ACCESSIBILITY

• CRT Toggle — Added an option to turn down all the fuzziness in the screen. This removes the scanline and all the CRT (arcade terminal) effect on the screen.
