As we push forward in the addition of new biomes, bosses and story we'd like to announce an update to our latest playtest and new trailer! Your opinion on the upgrades you can collect both during a run and as meta progression would be instrumental in helping us give you the best experience we can deliver. addedWhere are we at?Up until now we've been focusing on the first zone of the game. We wanted to ensure a strong base level of mechanics and systems that we can branch out from with content. This includes, new biomes, upgrades, enemies and more! We've already started development on the second zone with the third one starting in concept. We also started developing our 3rd boss. It'll be a fun challenge we hope you'll look forward to!
addedYou can't start the day without a hot drinkBe sure to check out the new addition to the hub! Buy yourself a hot drink, or a cold one to increase your chances of finding elemental chips, or give you the edge over your opponents. These are new temporary updates you can get before starting a run.
changedUpdated Gear Menu!We've updated the gear menu so it's easier to see what upgrades you have during a run.
changedDifficulty ChangesDuring our initial playtest we noticed a lot of players drop off before or around the first boss. With that in mind, you'll find it easier to reach bosses in the first zone than in previous playtests. We want to ensure there's room for difficulty to increase in later zones. To further balance worlds we have also ranked room difficulty so easier rooms will appear in the first half of each zone. This also applies to challenge rooms.

Updated Gear Menu!

We've updated the gear menu so it's easier to see what upgrades you have during a run.

Chip Changes

Chips, our in-run upgrades, have been fundamentally re-designed. In our original system, chips could be attained multiple times at different rarity levels with stat increases. We decided to put this aside to make all chips you encounter in a run unique. Instead of clear cut stat increases, we've created a variety of chips that can complement each other in more creative ways. In all, we've DOUBLED our library of chips! We hope you enjoy more chip diversity and build crafting during your runs.

During our initial playtest we noticed a lot of players drop off before or around the first boss. With that in mind, you'll find it easier to reach bosses in the first zone than in previous playtests. We want to ensure there's room for difficulty to increase in later zones. To further balance worlds we have also ranked room difficulty so easier rooms will appear in the first half of each zone. This also applies to challenge rooms.

You'll notice a handful of new rooms while existing rooms have new enemy types and arrangements.
