My game, ROAM, will be featured at the ChinaJoy Steam Festival, which will take place from July 30 to August 6, and it will get its own showcase on Steam. When I got the notification about it, I couldn't believe it at first. This is the first festival I've ever managed to get into, and it's such a prestigious one.
ROAM is the result of five years of development. I'm a solo developer who once had a dream that I had released a game on Steam about a lonely wanderer in a boat in the middle of the ocean.
That very same day, I downloaded Unity and started watching tutorials on programming a character controller, convinced that I could do it all and that I'd be able to finish the game in a couple of years. After all, I knew how to draw (though not pixel art), write a little music, and code just a little from my computer science classes at school. And now, after all these years, it still doesn't quite feel real. Me and ROAM at the ChinaJoy Steam Festival! Steam post imageThank you all so much for your support and patience! I'll be back very soon with more news about the ROAM demo and my plans for the game's future development.
