Rivals Hover League changes
(Made a couple quick tweaks to the original post since a few things changed)
Hey everyone!
Can you believe it’s already been a week since the demo ended? We launched it full of hope (and nerves), and ever since, it’s been nonstop on our side.
Between reading through your heartfelt feedback and digging into gameplay stats to see what you all enjoyed the most, the days just flew by.
So today, we wanted to take a moment to reflect — and share a little recap of how things went!
📊 DEMO, By the Numbers
We couldn’t fit everything into the infographic, but while preparing this recap post, we came across a few extra fun stats that were too good not to share.
🧠 Best K/D vehicle: Sniper (Avg. 3.8/1)
Hunter and Raider may have been the most popular picks, but in the end, the true winner was Sniper 🤩 Let’s be honest — if the opponent Sniper knows how to position well… it’s pretty much game over 😂
💀 Mode with the most kills: Core Battle (avg. 11 kills)
Okay, this one caught us off guard… We assumed TDM mode would have the highest kill count, but nope — Core Battle ended up being the bloodbath. (For reference: TDM averaged just 6 kills.) …You do all realize that the win condition in Core Battle is capturing the core, not blowing up cars… right? 😂
💬 What Was the Community Saying?
We’ve gathered a few kind and encouraging messages from Reddit, YouTube, and Discord — and just wanted to say: every single one of those comments meant the world to us. They gave us confidence, kept us motivated, and reminded us we’re on the right track.
🔧 Feedback Highlights from the Demo
We received a ton of great suggestions, bug reports, and general “this could be better” notes.
Thank you again to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. While we can't go over every single suggestion in this post, we’ve pulled together a few of the most frequently mentioned points below.
🤖 “AI bots feel way too unbalanced.”
Yep — this came up a lot. Many of you had matches that felt super one-sided because of the AI, and we get it. We’ll be working to reduce those unfair moments in future builds.
🖥️ “Please add Split Screen mode!”
We didn’t expect this one, but wow — it showed up a lot. Time to sit down with Gonzalo and see if we can move up the timeline for local co-op.
That wraps up this little look back at our 3-day demo! Maybe you’ll find some of this relatable — or maybe you learned something you hadn’t noticed before.
Either way, we hope you enjoyed this recap as much as we enjoyed putting it together. Think of it not as a dev update, but as a shared memory we made together 🤩
P.S.
We also know that with the demo being on the shorter side, some of you waited patiently but still didn’t get a chance to join in — and honestly, we’re just as bummed about that as you are.
Next time, we’ll make sure the schedule gives everyone more time to jump in and enjoy the ride properly.
We’ll be back soon with more fun things to share 👍
