And while it can dominate Flat Racing or charge through steeplechase, it's just as comfortable tackling the rugged trails of Canyon Falls. Whether you're out exploring or just soaking up the view, the Mustang brings bold energy wherever it goes.

Welcome to the stable, Mustang and Appaloosa!

Mustang

The Mustang is built for adventure. With the stamina to roam and the speed to keep other horses on their toes, it's a great fit for all kinds of disciplines. And while it can dominate Flat Racing or charge through steeplechase, it's just as comfortable tackling the rugged trails of Canyon Falls. Whether you're out exploring or just soaking up the view, the Mustang brings bold energy wherever it goes.

Mustang Breed Bonus

  • +5 Sprint Energy

  • +2 Acceleration

Long Mane

We can't bring the Mustang to desktop without including its iconic Long Mane. Mustang horses have a high chance of having a long mane, and this mane has a chance to be passed down to foals of all different breeds

Appoloosa

Surprise! The Appaloosa is also joining the stables alongside the mustang

This striking breed is now available in Rival Stars Horse Racing. Known for its unique spotted coat and calm, friendly nature, the Appaloosa has earned a special place in the hearts of riders around the world. Known for their gentle temperament, Appaloosas are just as comfortable on the race track as they are in the show ring or on the trails.

Appoloosa Breed Bonus

  • +5 Acceleration

  • +2 Jump

New Patterns

With the addition of two new breeds comes a bunch of new Patterns! Next time you're playing around in the horse creator, make sure you keep an eye out for these fresh new Patterns. There are 20 new patterns to play around with.

  • Spotted Tobiano

  • Patchwork Pinto

  • Splattered Overo

  • Scarred Roan

  • Masked Roan

  • Charred Roan

  • Sporadic Tovero

  • Horseshoe Sabino

  • Spiked Splash

  • Frosted Rabicano

  • Torn Dapples

  • Blended Lacing

  • Splash Cutout

  • Smudged Roan

  • Speckled Leopard

  • Warped Leopard

  • Majestic Leopard

  • Sporadic Blanket

  • Few Spots Appaloosa

  • Masked Few Spots

Dun Dilution

The Dun dilution is now available in the horse creator. This new Dilution adds more range to how your horses can look, with some subtle differences in tone and shading. We can’t wait to see the horses you create with it.

Anything else?

We’ve added a couple of quality of life changes to improve your experience. First up, you can now rotate your horse in both the horse details menu and the horse creator. Whether you're checking out a new pattern, reviewing your customisation choices, or just admiring your horse, you can now see it from every angle. There’s also a new settings button on the save file selection screen. This lets you adjust things like graphics, controls, or audio before loading into the game, so everything’s set up how you want it right from the start

That’s everything for now! With both the Mustang and Appaloosa now available, there’s never been a better time to expand your stables and explore all the new patterns and dilutions. Whether you're mindlessly spinning your horse around in the creator or spotting fresh markings in the wild, we hope these additions bring some extra fun to your game.

Don't forget to join us on Discord to stay up to date on all things Rival Stars, chat with other players, and share your latest creations. We’d love to see what you’re working on.

See you at the starting gate!
