Rites & Receipts changes
Welcome to the Dark Magic Federation.
We are thrilled to announce that the evaluation cycle for Rites & Receipts has officially begun. The demo is now live and available for download directly on our Steam page.
In this 8-day gameplay evaluation, you will step behind the desk of a Junior Ritual Clerk at the Dark Magic Federation (DMF). Your task is simple: ensure the world’s magic runs on proper paperwork. From petty hexes to life-altering rituals, every request must be filed, verified, and processed through your desk first.
What to Expect in the Evaluation:
A Full Work Week: Experience a complete 8-day cycle totaling approximately ~25 minutes per run.
Tactile Bureaucracy: Experience the heavy "thump" of the stamps, the mechanical glide of the receipt printer, and the satisfying "clink" of seals hitting your collection bowl.
Consult the Manual: Use your color-coded DMF handbook to verify ritual components and sigils. Accuracy is mandatory—the DMF doesn't do warnings, they do fines.
Mouse-Driven Controls: The entire "Desktop Sim" is controlled mostly via mouse for a tactile, immersive administrative experience.
The Road to Full Release
This demo is a stable, feature slice of the final game. As a solo developer, I’ve poured a lot into the "feel" of this bureaucracy, and I’m excited to finally get it into your hands.
If you enjoy your time at the desk, please Wishlist Rites & Receipts! Every wishlist helps the department grow and ensures you won't miss our official launch.
Your shift starts now. The DMF is watching.
