Rising Spirit changes
The Road to the Championship
Hello Everyone!
Thank you so much for the support you've shown for Rising Spirit.
In this devlog, I will share the game's vision, my future plans, and the core mechanics I'm working on.
The Beginning
Rising Spirit will be a single-player experience focused on the life of a boxer. However, it's not just about fighting in the ring. My goal is to make you deeply feel the character's rise, struggle, and life story.
At the start of the game, you are trying to survive as a destitute boxer. You have neither a home nor a decent car. To stay alive and step into the ring, you:
Participate in illegal street fights.
Work odd jobs like cargo delivery.
Fulfill various needs of the people in the city.
As the story progresses, there will be a major turning point. Without giving too much of a spoiler, I can only say this: As a result of a series of critical events, boxing shifts from being a necessity to becoming your life's purpose.
With the help of old acquaintances and new friends, you will step into the professional leagues and embark on a journey toward your ultimate goal: the World Championship!
The game will take place in three cities, each with a distinct atmosphere:
Atlanport
Glove City
Rising City Steam post image
Each of these cities hosts massive stadiums, and as you might guess, as you rise through the rankings, the city where you fight will change.
In these cities, you will train, advance the story, and experience your character's world.
That's all the basic information I can share about the game for now. Feel free to ask any questions you have in the comments below.
I plan to offer a comprehensive Playtest very soon to give you your first hands-on experience. Stay tuned for updates.
Until next time, stand strong in the ring and take care!
