Hello everyone! A Small Dev Blog

Sorry it's been so long since the last update.

I'm still working on the upcoming update. During development, I ran into a lot of unexpected issues and bugs that also needed to be fixed. Because of this, development has taken a little longer than expected, so the update will be released a bit later than originally planned.

I'm doing my best to get it out as soon as possible. There's still a lot of exciting content ahead, and I think this update will be a real gameplay reboot for Rise of Gun.

Also, a small discount is coming very soon, so don't miss it!

As always, I've updated the Experimental Branch, and you can already try out the latest changes.

You can find out how to access the Experimental Branch (here).

Added

Parts Order Board

A new Parts Order Board has been added to the daytime trader.

After reaching Reputation Level 2, you'll be able to order the parts you need. As your reputation increases, the number of parts available for ordering will also increase.

The rarer the part, the longer the delivery time. However, you can enable Express Delivery, which costs a little more but cuts the delivery time in half.

The final price already includes the delivery cost.

Coffee Machine

A coffee machine has been added to the shop.

You can now enjoy a free cup of coffee while working. Perfect for players who like working through the night. Steam post image

Shelf Locking

You can now lock weapon shelves if you don't want NPCs to buy weapons from them.

This is useful if you want to reserve certain weapons or keep them for your own purposes. Steam post image

New Shelf Markup System

A new shelf markup system has been added. This is only the first step toward future mechanics, but it's already fully usable.

After upgrading a shelf, you'll be able to set its weapon markup yourself, for example from 0% to 25%. Each shelf can now have its own pricing.

Why is this useful?

One of the upcoming dev blogs will introduce a completely redesigned customer system.

Every customer will have their own budget and weapon preferences. The higher your reputation, the wealthier the customers visiting your store will become.

If a particular weapon isn't selling well, you'll be able to reduce its markup or create a separate shelf with cheaper weapons.

Customers will also start paying attention to a weapon's Appearance — a new stat that takes into account the parts used, their rarity, and how well they fit together.

Customers will try to buy the most attractive weapon for the best price, which means they'll sometimes choose a more expensive weapon if they think it's worth it.

I'll talk more about this system in future dev blogs. Steam post image

Crafting Menu Filters

Filters have been added to the parts crafting menu.

You can now sort parts by price, from highest to lowest or vice versa.

Filter Saving

Selected filters are now saved automatically.

Worker UI Animation

Added a new animation when workers are added in the hiring menu. Steam post image

Changed

  • Coffee prices at Carmelita's shop have been adjusted for different difficulty levels.

  • The worker hiring interface has been redesigned. It's now easier to use and prepared for future worker types.

  • The day and night system has been updated. Going to sleep in the morning or at night will no longer skip an entire day.

  • The weapon shelf markup system has been reworked.

  • The Barrel and Sight categories have been moved to make navigation more convenient.

  • The reputation system for the Service has been rebalanced and is now more fair.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where the parts crafting menu couldn't be closed with the Tab key.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed crafting locked parts.

  • Fixed an issue where Service workers could continue working after the window was closed.

  • Fixed a bug where players could obtain a blueprint they had already unlocked. You will now receive experience instead.

That's all for now!

Thank you to everyone who continues to follow the game's development and is looking forward to the next update.
