changedWhy the Mystery? We want you to enter the Labyrinth with fresh eyes. We want to see what you find, what you miss, and what scares you when you have no map to follow. Whether it’s an encounter with a strange creature or a hidden mechanism in the wall, we want your raw, unfiltered reactions. Above all else, feedback is what we need at this stage, and sharing many details about the current state of the game can influence that feedback, and as a result, the quality of the data we use to improve the game itself. Your experience will help us decide the future of the maze, so it's crucial that feedback comes from people experiencing it for the first time themselves - not through comments and videos online.
changedBuilding the Foundation (The "Bumpy" Part)We are interested in your true opinions, experience, and feedback. Every crash report, every confusing moment, and every, "this felt weird" comment is a brick we use to build a better game. We are interested in every single piece of feedback you have to offer, no matter how small, because that is what helps us build this space into something worthy of your time and dedication, and helps us bring this world to many, many more people.

Rinthine Playtesting Begins.

Finally.

We have had playtesting in mind since the moment we shared even our very first news of what you knew then as, "Project R" - and since then, we have been overwhelmed by your support. From the thousands of you who wishlisted the game to those of you who spend every day theorizing in our Discord, your patience has been the fuel for this project.

Today, we take the first tentative step into the real world, as we open up Rinthine to closed external playtests.

A Measured First Step

We know many of you are eager to dive in immediately. To make sure we can actually hear your voices and react to your feedback, we are starting with a small, exclusive group of players. Access will be granted in waves, beginning with a few specific groups within our community who have been with us through thick and thin.

If you don't get in right away, do not worry. This is just the beginning. We will be expanding the pool as we stabilize the build and move through different phases of testing, and the goal is that everyone in our Discord will eventually get to playtest.

Why the Mystery?

You might notice that we aren't providing a "feature list" or a "what to look for" guide. That is intentional. The heart of Rinthine is discovery - the feeling of being lost in a world that doesn't explain itself.

Building the Foundation (The "Bumpy" Part)

This is a true playtest. While we’ve worked hard to polish the experience, you will encounter bugs. You might find things that are unbalanced, or parts of the Labyrinth that don't quite behave the way you'd like, yet.

We are interested in your true opinions, experience, and feedback.

A Heartfelt Thank You

It is rare for an indie team to find a community this dedicated, supportive, and patient.

Opening the game to you is the most exciting (and slightly terrifying) thing we’ve done yet, but the door has only just opened - the real adventure awaits.

Thank you for being the first explorers of the Labyrinth.

We’ll see you inside.

— The Rinthine Team
