Updates

Hello again, this announcement contains serveral really important updates about some very cool features we developed in the meantime, and some release updates.

Game Updates

One of the most interesting updates we did last month is Offline Profiles. Steam post image The game will feature online-like profiles for you to play without internet connection. Everything will be local and happen on your machine, there's no obligation to share, or connect to online services. Steam post image This also mean you can have multiple profiles to keep track, or have multiple people playing from a single machine.

Story mode

Besides the update we just shared, we also want to announce a new mode for Rhythia, called Story. It will contain a set of curated songs and maps to help users get started and learn the basics of the game before diving into community maps.

It will consist of 5 bosses with 3 songs each. More about this in the following week as we finish the characters and concepts.

Release Updates

We have decided that we need a little more time to finish the game (yet again, sorry), due to some really ambitious plans of ours. We are currently preparing not just the game itself, but our infrastructure to handle a bigger amount of concurrent players. Also important to mention, we are considering early access for the first 2 months in order to deliver many patches and fixes to accommodate older and newer players.

During early access, it might be possible that the game could be behind a paywall - as we are currently working without a publisher, and have extremely limited resources and big investments into development. We are commissioning artwork, soundtrack and other game critical resources - no asset in the game will be made by generative AI, this is a strict policy of ours. We must also mention the decision is not final and can be subject to change if we get a publisher to fund our work.

Thank you

We can't express how thankful we are for the huge amount of wishlists, and activity on our Steam page. Soon enough, a community portal will be announced, and you will finally be able to join and get a sneak peek at how the game feels and plays.
