addedSince our first major update, we’ve made several quality-of-life improvements and gameplay adjustments based on your feedback. This patch focuses on refining mechanics, balancing spells, and enhancing the overall experience. Here’s what’s new:
changedSteam CloudIntegrated Steam Cloud: We've prioritized Steam Cloud integration based on community requests and moved it up in our roadmap. Now, our dear Mages can sync their saves seamlessly! Before syncing Steam Cloud, we recommend backing up your files just in case. This will allow you to recover them if any errors occur with Steam Cloud. Save Files Location: AppData/Local/RevengeOfTheMage\Saved\SaveGames

Gameplay Changes

  • Energy Detonation: We’ve received feedback about the ability and immediately revised it.

    • Lowered the animation sound volume.

    • Increased the effect area: 1.75m → 2.50m

    • Increased the cooldown to balance the effect: 2s → 4s

  • Distinct Power-ups: Power-ups now always spawn as distinct types, preventing duplicates.

  • Trap Spawning: Traps no longer spawn beneath the player at the start of the Pyramid Boss Fight.

Bug Fixes

  • Cathedral Enemies Stuck: Enemies no longer get stuck on one of the nails in the Cathedral Multiverse’s center area.

  • Cathedral NailsThanks to a community report, we fixed one of the nails in the Cathedral Multiverse that dealt unintended damage.
  • Teleport Back LocationsThanks to another community report, we fixed an issue where players would get stuck when teleporting back to the surface from off the map. Teleport locations for the Tokyo and Cathedral Multiverses have been updated.

Optimization

  • Forest MultiverseTo improve performance, we’ve temporarily removed towers and optimized enemies. In our internal tests though results may vary by system, this increased performance by an average of 20 FPS. This is not a permanent fix but will enhance the experience until a full solution is implemented.

Localization Fixes

  • Fixes for All Languages: Since the Major Update we've revised localizations in all languages.

The Wizard Cat

  • Audio: The cat now purrs when petted—voiced by one of the dev team’s own cats! 😺
