Reus 2 changes
In our last update, we announced our third DLC, the Grasslands, which will bring its fair share of novelties to create unique planets: new leaders, new eras, new biome… Let’s see what’s hiding in the tall grass!
Before diving into the content of the DLC, know that the Winter sale on Steam begins on December 18th with a 50% discount on the main game, 20% on all the DLCs and 10% on the Supporter Pack! It could be a wonderful gift for a loved one (or a great one to treat yourself too!).
New biome for the Grasslands, the Steppe biome:
Like the Desert and Savannah biomes, it can be placed by the Savannah Giant, Jangwa, if you toggle the Grasslands mode instead of the Savannah mode at the start of your planet. This new biome, the Steppe, also gives a whole new look to Jangwa!
A new biome always comes with its own wildlife, flora, and minerals, and this one is no exception: your worlds will be running with more than 65 new biotica like the Bison, the Steppe Lavender, and the (adorable) Prairie Dog!
A new gameplay mechanic also birth a new perspective in Reus 2: every biotica you place increases the stress of the land until the sparks ignite fire that spreads across the land! These chain effects will upgrade the slots of land affected, leading nature to regrow with boosted and domesticated biotica! Sometimes in nature, you have to start all over again for things to improve!
4 New Leaders:
Your humans are ready to be led by new faces, and they have many different goals in mind! Are you prepared to meet them?
The Farmer: Your humans will use the opportunity to expand in the name of agriculture!
The Cultist: Gain vast wealth from your Dark Offering biotica - All in the name of your Dark Gods!
The Architect: Construction biotica boosts the curiosity of your humans, giving those biotica extra Curio!
The Astronaut: Race towards era 3 with less Eon but greater capacity to learn Advanced biotica!
More turning points:
Once again, your humans will evolve through time and choose different paths for their cities to grow and prosper! Will they try to modernize their technology or devote themselves to deities?
Fabled City: Stories and fables fuel you, surrounding your humans with animals that inspire inventions!
Heavenly Planet: Through purity and faith, create a religion around your Giants in a peaceful world!
Biokinetic Dream: Merge nature with science, creating a dream-like utopia straight out of sci-fi!
This paid DLC will cost 7.99 USD / 7.79 Euros / 6.69£ and will be released on January 22nd, 2026.
